and now… a word from my mom

Taylor is my youngest daughter, and one of the bravest, strongest people I know.
On December 30th, Taylor underwent spinal fusion surgery, her second in 3 years.

This surgery was 6 1/2 hour long.
Her stay on the hospital only 4 1/2 days. (She was ready to recover from home!)
She exceeded the expectations of the medical staff.

9 days after coming home she went to school.
She only went to one class, Choir.
1) It is her favorite.
2) She wanted to be prepared as they compete in Festival mid-February.
The spent the rest of the day at home, doing homework from her other classes.

Greater than the pain from the surgery is the pain from temporary nerve damage.
(Expected to last 2-3 weeks)
This pain does not respond well to medication.
She endures this pain well.
She complains VERY little.

I am so proud of her.
